At Hill Country Church, we do things a little differently. We don't have a seperate "children's ministry". We don't have childcare during the service. We do everything we can to build the family as a unit, and we believe that includes worshiping together.
During service, we do have the Kids' Clipboards available at the back kids' table. We have activities for them, and a worship notes page that we encourage them to work through during the service. Then they can take it home and share with you, their parents, what they learned during service! What a great opportunity to discuss the Sunday service as a family.
We have a small activity area that parents can take their young toddlers back to during service. It is in the room, so parents can still hear and see what is going on.
As part of our family ministry, we try to plan as many of our activities as we can that include the whole family. This includes family movie nights, summer picnics and campouts, potlucks, and other great activities!
